Alhambra Pendant · Troy Bronze, Garnet & CZ Stones
The Alhambra — Al-Qal'at al-Ḥamrā' in Arabic, meaning The Red Castle — is a palace and fortress complex built into the hills of Granada, Spain, its walls burnished red under Andalusian sun. Constructed by the Nasrid Dynasty beginning in the 13th century, it remains the apex of Moorish art and architecture: intricate surface work, radiating geometry, pattern upon pattern pressed into stone and plaster with devotional precision. This pendant carries that lineage.
Formed from troy bronze metal clay and fired in a kiln, the scalloped silhouette is covered edge to edge in a radiating stamped pattern — concentric arches, pierced negative spaces, dotted borders layered in careful sequence. At the center, an 8x6mm oval garnet, AA grade, deep red and faceted, set within a ring of eight 1mm CZ stones. The garnet echoes the fortress walls themselves — warm, mineral, carrying centuries of color.
At 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, this pendant has genuine presence. It is offered on your choice of a 24-inch waxed leather cord or a 1.8mm bronze cable chain in 18, 20, or 24 inches — each pairing shifting the character of the piece slightly. The leather cord worn long feels archaeological. The bronze chain worn shorter feels more considered, more dressed.
This is a piece made for someone who understands that the most meaningful objects carry a history that predates them. The Alhambra has stood for eight centuries. This pendant asks to be kept just as long.
Every Opaline Sprout piece is thoughtfully designed and intentionally constructed for real, everyday wear. We choose materials for durability, comfort, and long-term beauty - not just appearance.
This piece is made with:
To preserve the finish and longevity of your piece, we recommend removing jewelry before showering, swimming, or applying lotions and perfumes. While our materials are selected for durability and everyday wear, minimizing prolonged exposure to moisture and chemicals will help maintain the integrity.
Store pieces separately in a dry place to prevent scratching or unnecessary friction. A soft pouch or lined jewelry box is ideal. For light cleaning, gently wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth to restore shine.
With normal wear and mindful care, your jewelry is designed to retain its structure, finish, and polish over time. Should your piece ever need attention, our studio is here to help.
Orders ship within 3–7 business days from our studio. We offer a 30-day return window for unworn pieces and remain available for repair support if needed. Our work is studio-backed, not mass-produced.
